At Aldridge Beauty Clinic, we recommend you consider following a few before and aftercare treatments which is guaranteed to benefit you.

Before any waxing is attended to, we suggest you exfoliate your chosen waxing areas between 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. This is required as it prevents your chosen area from gaining ingrowing hairs, as well as makes your skin feel smooth - which helps make your wax easier to work with.

Our team also find it easier and appreciate it if you take a hot bath or shower before your appointment. By doing this, you are allowing your pores to open, meaning your hairs will come out easier and less painful. Avoid any moisturiser on your skin and any deodorant if your underarms are getting waxed, as this can cause a barrier for the wax.

After your wax, there are a few procedures you must not be tempted to do within the next 24 hours. These include:

Having hot baths or showers
Going swimming
Attending steam rooms and saunas
Any tight clothing
Wearing makeup - if you have had any facial waxes
Deodorant - if you have had an underarm wax
Body lotions, creams, fake tan or perfumes

You must try and avoid these, as your hair follicles will still be open - this will help prevent your pores from gaining any bacteria which can cause infections.
